One Fine Day

Here goes one last recap of 2013 – the boy and I got engaged!

While this news had already been announced via instagram and Facebook that day (after informing the family and friends of course), I’ve been waiting to share this on the blog. Now for the abbreviated story…

As my friend and I walked along the Georgetown waterfront, we stumbled upon a singing group performing. Once I actually realized they were the girls from my college a cappella group, family and friends starting walking out from behind them one by one with signs showing significant dates from the boy and I’s relationship. The last set of signs came from the boy who was hiding behind us the entire time. Then the rest is history…

It was so great having friends and family there to take part in the event. The boy even setup a surprise party back at my parent’s house to celebrate that night.

You remember when I mentioned that life had been a little hectic towards the end of 2013? This was one of the reasons. Planning mode is now 100% turned on. Stay tuned!
