Lately, I’ve been completely into just solid colors, nothing complicated. I wake up and the first thing I’m drawn to is simpler items like oxfords, all-white tops, denim shorts in solid black or white colors.
A little straw hat adds so much attitude to your outfit that before I walked out of my house, I grabbed it because I felt like my outfit wasn’t complete. The accessories can either make or break an outfit and I make sure to always pay attention to those details. The dainty layered necklaces here add a bit of femininity as well as the single pyramid studded cuff.
Tips for accessorizing:
- Make sure to either focus on earrings or necklaces. You want one or the other to be the main statement, so making sure you keep that in mind will allow that item to be the center of attention. Example: Wear chandelier/drop earrings with a lose pony tail and a barely there dainty necklace or wear layered necklaces like I have here but pair that with small studded earrings so the necklaces are the main focus.
- Don’t be afraid to mix metals. We are often afraid to mix metals because we feel like it clashes. But I think it’s fun and gives it a much more cooler look to mix metals if it’s done right. Rose gold and silver look great together for example. I wear rings everyday and they’re all different metals: I wear silver, rose gold, gold and bronzed rings. It gives it a nice mix!
- Red little bracelet goes a long way. No matter if I’m in the mood or not to accessorize, I know that my little red bracelet can instantly give me that everyday effortless look if that’s the only thing I wear. They’re the perfect little everyday accessory and go with everything! Cute ones here, here, here, here (Love this one & it’s on sale!)
When I wear a hat, I always make sure to tuck one side of my hair. I like the one side look and showing off my earring in the other!
I wear this amazing shimmery eyeshadow by Dior to give my makeup look a glow for a daytime look. I’ve been wearing this look a lot lately and skip the liner!
