Bone me

Rewinding to the weekend. We had some friends visit while in the area for business. Our Friday evening dinner was a disaster (good food, terrible service) but somehow they still trusted our restaurant expertise. Or the lack of. Ha!

We took them to Forge in Carmel. I remembered having a killer Cobb salad the one and only time we went so it seemed like a good idea.

Turns out it was a hit!! The food & service were great and the prices were reasonable considering Carmel.

Between visits we wandered around the mall for a bit. I found these sports bras at Macys. They are actually Madonnas daughters line, Lola which I never saw coming, ha! After trying one on (which I loathe), I liked it so much, I picked up more.

Ohhh and every day around 4:00pm Bam sits in the kitchen by the drawer with the look of death & sadness. It’s like he got a new watch. He knows what time it is, he knows I know what time it is…….so what the hell is taking so long?!?

He has been known to sit there for an hour or more until we figure out what he’s doing. We could be sitting in the living room, look around and say, where is the dog? Dude wants a rawhide bone.

You see, at one time, I guess we gave him a bone at 4:00 PM now he just looks at the clock and says to himself, “well, it’s about that time, bone me” (yup, I know what you’re thinking, TWSS)

We give the turd nugget one and he’s good for another 24 hours.

I am ‘thisclose’ to being able to run and graduate from physical therapy.

Remember the weekend we hightailed it to Carmel Valley for a wine tasting? Turns out it was a bad life decision to wear flip flops.

If needles or injections freak you out, scroll down really fast.

My gait has been cattywompus <-(a word I knew nothing about until I met Mike) since surgery and just within the last 2 weeks, it’s finally back to normal. Well, coupled that with flip flops caused a pretty gnarly case of sesamoiditis in my left paw. My doctor & his wife are also our close family friends and were over for dinner Sunday evening. He asked why I was limping a little and I told him about it. He told me to come in & get a cortisone injection to reduce the inflammation & pain.

Oooh but it gets better. My right foot was overcompensating for it and developed a mild case of it too, so IMO may as well do the other while I’m there.

I had him laughing by saying things I f–ing do to run not so quietly.

If you ever have to get a cortisone injection, don’t wait until the pain is terrible. The left one hurt like hell, but the right was NBD. At least for me.

I hope you are having a beautiful day!!

Does anyone else loathe trying on clothes in the store?

Do you use words your significant other/BFF/family member uses?
