keeping warm with twiggy and opal baby quilts

The cold weather shows no sign of letting up. It’s the end of February, and yet the forecast still shows below average cold weather into the first week of March. I’m really sick of being cold.

Keeping warm is essential, isn’t it? When Birdie was small, I swear I had blankets of every size and shape and color at the ready wherever we went – she was born in January and keeping warm became so important! Well, now I wish I had several of these baby quilts to add to my, erm, collection. Handmade by Twiggy and Opal in Nashville, each one features hand-dyed fabrics for a truly custom color palette.

The modern shapes and geometric patterns are totally appealing in the baby world – so much nicer than the boring pastels, sweet animals, and florals that you usually see! One of these quilts is the perfect way to welcome a new baby, and hang on the wall as they grow too old to use it. Oh and don’t worry, if you don’t have a wee one in need of warming – there are other size quilts available too!
