Rowan Tee Pattern Tour

You guys (or I guess I should say gals), Laura of Titchy Threads has done it again! I am in love with her Fancy Pants pattern and now I have the perfect t-shirt pattern! Seriously, this pattern has so many wonderful options,144 to be exact! And it fits 6mos-12 years; I am in boy sewing heaven! Jude has been requesting a hooded tee for some time now, so I knew right away what version I'd be making first!

I used a really nice teal knit from Jo-Ann and the animal print accents are from a knit I scored on clearance at Jo-Ann (it's super soft and has four way stretch so I'm kicking myself for not picking up more)!

Here are my thoughts on the Rowan Tee: it rules! Supe clear instructions and beautifully drafted pattern pieces make this my new favorite. I made Jude the size six, which I knew would be slightly large and I'm thrilled with the fit. He might even get to wear it for more than ten minutes! The best part: Jude loves it and he looks so cool! (I'm not allowed to say he looks cute, when I do he says " No Mom, not cute, cool!")

One bummer: I skipped the twill tape at the hood and I regret it. When I used my twin needle to top stitch the edge and it made it kinda wavy.

I can't wait to see what everyone else makes, just check out this awesome line up! Follow along over at Craftstorming. And be sure to sign up for the Titchy Threads Newsletter to get a special discount code!

Disclosure: I was given this pattern in exchange for my post, I received no other compensation. As always, all opinions are my own.
