Miracle Sleeping Cream

Sleep. It is suddenly a hot commodity as soon as a newborn enters one’s life.I enter a state of pure delusion in the middle of the night. You know how some people can wake up, or be woken up, and be 100% “there”? Not me. I usually have to spend a good 20 seconds trying to figure out where I am, as if I sleep many different places, and then I have to look and see what the date and time is. Because when I’m woken up in the night, it’s as if I had been sleeping for roughly 256 years. Had I slipped into a coma and just come to? It feels like it.

When Luke was just a few weeks old, I was getting up two to three times a night to feed him. Typically there’s a 8pm feeding, and then a middle of the night feeding around 12:30a/1:00 and then a morning feeding around 5:00a. And nearly every single morning when I hear him at 5:00a, I get really excited that he slept through the night because I have nearly zero recollection that I ever fed him at 1:00a.

In fact, I’m so out of it, the only way I can tell if there was a middle of the night feeding is based on where my robe is. At the start of the night it’s on the bench at the end of my bed. And if I fed him, I then toss it on the chair next to the bed. So, when the day comes that I awake at 5:00a and see my robe on the bench, it will be cause for celebration! Despite my interesting, delusion-filled nights, I always take the time to cleanse and moisturize my face prior to taking my “night-naps.” And I recently got to try the Garnier Ultra-Lift® Miracle Sleep Cream™: Anti-Age Anti-Fatigue Night Cream.

And I need a miracle to happen in my sleep to help my skin from looking distressed in the morning. The consistency of the product is unusual, but not in a bad way! It’s bouncy and sort of holds itself together as a single unit if that makes sense. It’s probably the most unique texture of face cream I’ve ever used. It applies easily and soaks right in. And the price point is fantastic ($16.99!)! If you are an over-achiever when it comes to sleeping cream, try the Garnier Ultra-Lift Miracle Sleeping Cream: Anti-Age Anti-Fatigue Eye Cream too. Now if only there was a cream to help my baby sleep through the night, all would be right in the world.
