April Foolin Around?

It’s supposed to snow tonight… YUCK. I cross my heart, it’s true. Look up the weather for Northern NH. Anywho… One measly post last month. I should be shut down, kicked out of the Cool Kids Club, and shunned. Ok, maybe not going that far, but sheez…. I didn’t think I’d fail so epically on barely making postings in the last 4 weeks. I’ve had a few emails asking if I’m ok, a few friends messaging me and asking the same… And the overall answer to that question is: yes. I am ok. I know, I know…. I dropped off the face of the planet with nary a word or whisper to anyone, only occasionally updating my FB Page and my personal profile if I even bothered to jump online at all. I’ve had an internet aversion for the past 4 weeks. I go through bouts of just wanting to be off and away from everything, and I needed to do it. Plus, I’ve been fighting my own body as well. It’s no fun getting a good amount of sleep, getting up, making breakfast and eating it… Only to bring the bowl to the sink, go back to my chair/couch and sit down… Then summarily fall asleep. What the hell?!? I mean, I’m used to being out of energy- especially during winter- but this craziness of enough sleep and feeling energized once I ate was great. The going back to my chair and feeling like my arms and legs were dead weight just dragging me down, down, down…. Not so much. So what have I done the past month? Sleep. Yep, like a hibernating bear… I’ve slept. A lot. Looked at the computer and gone *pfffttttt* not writing anything today. Edit pictures? Hah riiiiiight… I’ll do it later… Problem was… Later never showed up. I waited, and waited… Patiently… But the sneaky bastard never showed up. I felt like I got stood up on a blind date, standing… Er, sitting there looking for someone who would never actually show. And in between time I was waiting, I slept. Yeah- I think I’m part bear or something. Good visual, right? Me at a table sleeping. Oy. Bottom line is: I am ok! In fact, I’m great! My doctor and I have determined it’s a combination of some of my medications and the changing of the seasons… So we’ve altered things a little and I’m feeling a bit more human. I’m back online, and I promise if I need to take a break from the interwebnetz again, I will let everyone know instead of just going to sleep without so much as an update. Things I’m excited about which are coming up: Springtime means Gardening! Spring is making its way slowly to the North East, and I’m anxiously awaiting the cutting of the Hostas (beautiful leafy low-lying plants!) from my Mom so I can take them to Pirate’s and plant them around our property. I have lots of plans for the yard which includes him doing a lot of the work which needs to be done- which he’s not so excited about because I make a good nag, and he makes a great worker- like raking up the very large lawn (I can help in small areas), getting the dead wood cleared out, having the friggen HUGE pile of leaves either thrown out or we set aside a pile for mulching. Ohhh yes, I’m going to have beautiful gardens out back and front! I’m most excited about our gazebo- when it’s set up, I’ll be sure to share pictures! It’s going to be my “Happy Place” at home where I can relax without the disgusting bugs I’ve found around the house. Namely Pillbugs. EEEWWW. My Middle Sister is Graduating in May! Yep- she’s finally reaching the light at the end of the tunnel and I can’t wait for her! She’s worked so hard to get her degrees, and this is the final stretch for her. I’m so proud of my beautiful sister (all my siblings in fact), and I can’t wait to see her graduate! I do owe her a visit, so soon I’ll be taking a weekend or few days and heading down here way to spend a few days pouring over wedding magazines, checking out bridal shops, and ogling beautiful dresses that are much too far out of my price range… Just because. And, she loves it when I do her nails… So I’ll have to bring those supplies with me too! My Youngest Sister Comes Home! Yep… The star of the previous, and only blog post in March (headdesk), gets to come home for the summer. While I thought we’d have more time to spend together- it’s alright! It’s not like my parents live a continent or 5 states away! It’s just a measly 2 hours from where I’ll be settling in with Pirate soon enough. She works so much, it’s crazy… So I’m hoping this year she makes time for *ahem* me to hang out on some of her days off. I’m looking forward to her nutty attitude, silly dancing, and ability to pretty much crack anyone up on cue. Yep, that’s my other sister! The Wedding! Yes, the one for Pirate and I. Due to budget reasons, we’ve moved the date wayyyyy up to sometime in June. This way- it’s easier. My bridesmaids can wear summer dresses that can be worn again, it’s more laid back and casual for the guests and wedding party, and I get to wear a dress that’s not quite so warm. Yeah- part of it’s that I tried on Mom’s gown and I’m too fat for it. It happens- over the past two months, weight has slowly been creeping back even though my eating habits aren’t all that awful… But I think it’s also lack of movement- you know, from all that darn sleeping. So I’ve resolved to eat healthier (which I’m doing successfully!) and whatever weight comes off by then I’ll be happy with! Besides, Pirate isn’t marrying me because of my figure… Ha ha ha! An additional plus to this is I have *tons* more color options to throw into the mix for the reception/party… I’m stoked! Yeah, it’s hurrying things up a bit… Ok ok, a lot, but it’s totally worth it! Have you pulled any pranks today? If so, tell me about ‘em below!! x0x0x0 ~*Snarky P Love? Like? Ok? Meh? Hate? "April Foolin Around?" was originally posted by Amanda on snarky-princess.com.
