JORD Sidney wood watch

Confession: I hadn’t worn a watch in about 20 years. And JORD changed that completely when they sent me their beautiful Sidney wood watch.

Another confession: I was a bit nervous. When I they offered it to me, I thought about saying no, as, well, no watch had been on my wrist for longe than most bloggers’ lives.

However, when I visited the site, I fell in love with their gorgeous designs and craft. And the love just grew when I opened the pretty wooden box this baby came is.

The Sidney watch is made of shiny cherry wood, a lovely reddish shade, and it has an iridescent mother of pearl dial. All metal is silver and the dial is set with some sparkly Swarovsky crystals. Although quite big, is very feminine.

I got plenty of compliments while wearing it. It does catch people eyes and complements outfits beautifully.

It ha a sapphire crystal face, Seiko quartz chronograph stopwatch movement (VD54) and the buckle really caught my attention – it has a push button and it closes seamlessly, with a perfect finish, it looks like the wood band is continuous.

JORD, which in Swedish means earth, soil or land, is an American company that uses sustainable, untreated natural wood in their watches and for that reason, they are hypoallergenic.

A truly stylish timepiece. Guess who’s back to the watch gang?
