CURRENT SKINCARE FAVES

It’s been a while since I haven’t talked about my skincare regimen, which is why I thought I’d share it with you guys today. In winter, I like to switch up the products I use; my skin gets quite dry so I use skincare that will add moisture to my skin. No one likes dry, flaky skin, right?

Perfume:

When I first smelled Aqua Universalis by Maison Francis Kurkdjian, it was love at first sight- or should I say, love at first smell. It has a very fresh smell with a musky twist to it. It kind of reminds me of the beach and of summer. Francis Kurkdjian is one of my all time favourite perfumers, his perception of smells and the way he mixes different scents together never fail to amaze me, he’s a real artist.

Face:

Because of the cold air in Switzerland, my skin has recently been really dry which is why I decided to try out the Radical Hydrating Cleanser. Its creamy texture feels extremely nourishing, which is just what my skin needs at the moment. After I cleansed my skin, I apply a serum: Good Genes by Sunday Riley. It really brightens up your skin and gives you that “lit from within” glow that we’re all looking for. I also recently bought the M2 Beauté Brow Serum that helps them grow, and I have to say it works really well. Then, I move on to moisturizing my skin. I have a few moisturizers that I like; I pretty much switch it up all the time. Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is very light and I love to wear it under makeup. It acts as a base and creates a nice layer before foundation or concealer. Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream also has the same effect, but it’s thicker. As for my under-eyes, I use the Radical Eye Revive Crème, which I love. It truly hydrates that area of your eyes and instantly makes you look more awake.

About twice a week, I like to do a mask while I’m taking a bath before I go out or when I’m in front of the computer. Something about masks really relaxes me and it makes me feel like I am actually treating my skin. The Caudalie Purifying Mask is great to deep clean your skin. It pulls out all the dirt and pollution from your pores leaving your skin looking fresh and clean. Additionally, it dries up any spots you might have. I also really like the Radical Instant Revitalizing Mask: it’s great for when your skin looks a bit dull and tired.

Body:

For shower gels, I’ll use pretty much anything as long as it smells nice. The Korres Japanese Rose Shower Gel is what I’ve been using lately and I love it. From the same brand, I also really like the Fig Body Butter. They both have a lovely smell. To get rid of any dry skin on my body, I use the Caudalie Crushed Cabernet Scrub, which makes my skin feel very soft and smooth.
