Flowers Abound CAL Part 9 – Bunga

HI folks

Well here we are at the second last pattern for the Flowers Abound CAL!

This time, we are making Bunga, which is Indonesian for flower. The pattern is written for the colour changes as for the purple flower below. Other options are continuing the centre colour for Round 2 as pictured with the pink and, as there are 2 rounds of leaves, you can do them different colours as shown as well.

There are some rounds that may have you scratching your head a bit, mostly as they are worked into rounds other than the previous round. It’s nothing very hard, you just have to be aware where you need to work the stitches.

The first is Round 4 where you work a stitch into skipped stitches of Round 1 as shown below.

The next is where to attach your yarn and work the first leaf Round 5. Hopefully you can see you work over both chain spaces of Rounds 3 & 4.

Round 7 is the last one as we will work into the leaf tips of Rounds 5 & 6. That should be pretty easy to see what to do.

That’s it, so on to the patterns :

I do recommend adding a few extra pins when you are blocking in the left corner of each petal to help straighten them out like this :
