Stampin’ Up! Hey, Chick Window Boxes (Stamp With Amy K)

I used that crazy chicken from the Stampin’ Up! Hey, Chick stamp set, a 2017 Sale-a-bration exclusive, to create my card to share today. I couldn’t help myself…I had to use that stamp set again today, it is just too perfect for this sketch!

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 311.

I started by stamping the image from the Hardwood stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on a Crumb Cake card stock panel. I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock with SNAIL and then to a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the chicken image from the Hey, Chick stamp set (Sale-a-bration item available Jan 4) in Basic Black Archival ink four times on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I used the Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencils (available Jan 4) and a Blender Pen to color the images and then I used a Layering Squares Framelits Die to cut the chickens out at different angles.

I adhered the die cut squares with SNAIL to scalloped squares cut from Bermuda Bay card stock with a Layering Squares Framelits Die and then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Hey, Chick stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink on a strip of Melon Mambo card stock and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the chicken image from the Hey, Chick stamp set in Basic Black Archival Ink and colored it with Watercolor Pencils on a Whisper White panel inside the card. Love how the little chicken is peeking around the corners!

I promise that I will be back tomorrow with a card made from a different stamp set…I will try to step away from the chickens for a moment. ;)
