Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Blooms Happy Birthday for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you. My card features the Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set, the Magnolia Memory Dies and the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. We are all working with a color challenge this week. Here’s my card:

And here are the colors we are using this week:

My card features a brand new stamp set that coordinates with the Magnolia Lane Suite, but it isn’t in the 2019-20 Annual Catalog. It’s called Magnolia Blooms and is in the new 2019-20 Beginner Brochure called Experience Creativity.

To begin, adhere a panel of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper to a Petal Pink card stock mat with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Next add a strip of the striped DSP across the layer before adhering the completed piece to the front of the Basic Black card base.

Stamp the sentiment from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set with Jet Black StazOn ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. Make certain the ink is completely dry then use the Subtle Embossing folder to add texture to the panel. Cut the stamped panel into a circle with the second to largest circle die from the Layering Circles die set. Adhere it to a Basic Black card stock mat and then to a scalloped circle Petal Pink card stock mat.

Use a die from the Magnolia Memory die set to cut two floral images from a panel of Magnolia Lane DSP – it cuts them with a nice black border – so pretty! Adhere one to the art piece and save the second one for the inside of the card. Tie a triple bow with Mossy Meadow twine from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon combo pack and adhere it to the stem of the bloom. Adhere the completed art piece to the card front with Dimensionals and embellish with Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Petal Pink Adhesive Backed Sequins.

For the inside of the card, adhere a panel of Whisper White card stock to a mat of Petal Pink card stock with Liquid Glue. Then adhere the layer to the inside of the card. Adhere the second die cut flower to complete. It’s ready to send on it’s way!
