The Frantic Stamper - Simply Super Shield
I'm here to show you another card I made with the latest release from The Frantic Stamper using Simply Super Shield along with Super Hero. One of the advantages and challenges of being on this design team is I get to see all the cards the other designers come up with in our Dropbox folder, so looking to make sure I haven't overtly ended up coming up with the exact same thing as someone else or close to it has become a habit. I got this amazing idea for this die and just prayed no one had come up with it. I was thrilled to see that no one did. Lookie:
STINKIN' CUTE!!! (YILM!) I got this idea from a photo someone had posted on Facebook of a group of high school kids at a prom. The guys all had superhero shirts on under their tuxedo shirts, and that gave me this idea. I had to find a great plaid paper to pull it off, and this paper from Lawn Fawn was the perfect choice to go with the colors of Simon Says Stamp card stock.
I cut out the Simply Super Shield from Lipstick Red, Black, and Sunshine cardstock and mixed them together to create the perfect super hero emblem.
I used a scoring board to create the plackets for the button hole side of the shirt, and yes, this is the "female" side, but who says that all superheros are guys? That's why this would work equally well for a woman whom you admire! I drew in the button holes with a marker. The buttons are Doodlebug Sprinkles.
I used My Favorite Things Label Maker Sentiments and Label Maker Love sets for the greeting with the matching dies, and popped all the greeting pieces on foam dots.
I popped the whole thing up on foam tape over the base of the card. Love how it turned out!
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Ribbon Resource, Gina K, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links costs you nothing and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you. Stampin' Up! product links lead to their webstore, so please be sure to indicate your preference in demonstrator if it doesn't come up automatically!
