From a Set Back to a Set Up

The other day, a pastor I follow Tweeted this image and it felt like the message hit me like a ton of bricks:

Have you ever been in that moment where you’re feeling desperate for a sign? You’re desperate for a message from God that says, “I’ve got this. I know what you’re going through. I’ve got a plan, and it’s not the plan you have.”

Well, as I was scrolling through my Twitterfeed and saw that quote, it was EXACTLY what I needed to hear.

I’m by NO means complaining, but it’s just been one of those weeks where little setbacks have been knocking me in the face left and right and I was letting all those LITTLE things pile up into bigger things… and it was starting to get to me. You know what I’m talking about, right? When little thing after little thing after little thing builds up and… BOOM! You just break into tears for what seems to be no reason at all…

I’m not alone, right?

It’s hard to keep focused in those moments and have faith that everything will work out and that if it’s not good, then God isn’t done.

Or, as we say in the south, “If it ain’t good, then God ain’t done.”

Anyone else need to hear that today?

And no, this had nothing to do with this outfit… I just felt like sharing that with y’all today.
