Guess WHO?

I don't remember when my daddy taught me about the Abbott & Costello Who's on First skit. But I imagine it followed a conversation like this...

Christopher comes home from playing with his friend all day. When he left here, all he had eaten was a breakfast sandwich.

He comes home five hours later and says, “Mom I’m hungry, what can I eat?”

I said, “If you haven’t eaten since breakfast you should eat dinner.”

He asks, "Can I have a snack?"

I say, "I thought you were hungry hungry."

He said, "I am hungry hungry, but I just want to eat something."

I said, "Well if you're ready to eat eat, there’s leftovers from yesterday."

He responded, "Yeah but I don’t want a lot."

So I stated, "So you’re not hungry hungry."

So he stated, "No just hungry."

And I had to ask, "Who's on first?"

Christopher laughed because this was the first time he got it. Last week when daddy was here, they had one of those conversations where Christopher's side of the conversation was confusing. Daddy said, "Who's on first?" Christopher said, "What?" And I started laughing. I said, "It's time to tell him what that means."

As I watched the two of them look at it, I ran to get my phone to take a picture. It was one of those moments that may seem insignificant, but it was a moment where history was being passed down to another generation.

I sat with them after I took the picture. This particular skit was longer than one I ever remember seeing.

We paused it to make sure Christopher understood. He nodded that he was getting it.

I started hearing parts of the skit I had never heard before and had the biggest laugh I've had in a long time. Actually I screamed/laughed scraughed. Daddy said I scared him and hurt his ears.

Yeah I laughed that hard.

Did you know WHO signed the check? That's what did it for me this skit go 'round. I'm laughing all over again.
