Organic Bath Co. REFRESHMint Organic Body Oil Review

I was really psyched when Conscious Beauty sent me one of these gorgeous body oils from Organic Bath Co. as I’d been seeing some wonderful reviews on the brand and knew it would be a lovely one! This particular body oil is called RefreshMint and with good reason. The body oil is scented with natural, stimulating organic peppermint essential oil so the scent is very minty and the effect upon application is cooling and soothing. I imagine this would be absolute heaven to use during hot summer days, but it’s not yet hot enough here in California to test that theory. The oil, itself, is quite light on the skin and comes in a unique base of jojoba oil that’s been infused with green tea leaves making this oil a potent antioxidant treatment for your skin! Couple that with the caffeine effects of the green tea and this is one hell of a body oil for anyone who has trouble with cellulite. The mint, I imagine, could also do wonderful soothing for those who deal with itchy skin, though I haven’t used it for that.

I really have loved using this body oil so much! I thought this body oil would be just like any other, but I was surprised to find that while it’s ingredient list is surprisingly simple, there are a few things that set it apart from all the others. Firstly, the base of jojoba oil in this body oil is infused with green tea leaves making it perfect for treating those who are plagued with cellulite. The caffeine in the green tea will help plump and smooth out any annoying areas. On top of that, the minty fresh scent and light blend of oils makes this the perfect body oil for the warmer months and spring and summer. I’ve really enjoyed using this on it’s own and alongside my regular moisturizer as it adds a unique scent and cooling effect. It’s also surprisingly hydrating when used straight out of the shower on damp skin.

Best Ways to Use:

Straight after your shower on damp skin.
Mixed with some fragrance-free body lotion for an extra-hydrating skin treatment.
In place of a Shaving Cream! (Just make sure to thoroughly wash your tub and/or clean your razor afterwards as oils tend to make hair more difficult to remove from your shower/tub floor and also creates build up on your razor more quickly!)
As a cooling treatment on a hot spring or summer day.
To soothe dry, itchy skin.
As a foot treatment for dry, cracked feet.

Overall, I’m seriously pleased with this body oil and I’m impressed with Organic Bath Co. for the way they’ve cleverly made their simple products extra special for you while staying true to their mission of helping the planet and you feel and look your best.
