Random Friday Favorites // Things I’ve Been Loving Lately #25

The Apothecary Edition

Happy Friday Lovelies ♥

This week has been exhausting to say the least. I spent all week living out of bags and boxes since my apartment wasn’t ready until today. As you read this, I will likely be moving all the boxes I can into my apartment before finally moving my furniture in tomorrow morning. I can’t wait to show you guys what it looks like once I’ve decorated it a bit! As for now, I’ve been obsessing over all things herbalism and mysticism, including astrology, tea leaf reading, and other fascinating magical things which, I admit, I take with a grain of salt. That being said, it doesn’t stop the fascination! Also, I was surprised to learn that so many herbs have incredible medicinal uses for healing various ailments and many of them don’t include side effects of various medications so they stand to be really beneficial for people. The post I read (shown below) was backed by a credible MD and gave a ridiculously long list of different herbal uses! Also, one other thing I’m loving this week is turmeric tea of the golden milk variety. If you missed the post I did sharing my personal golden milk recipe, then definitely give it a look and try it for yourself! For those who are dairy free and vegan, you’ll be happy to know I make mine with almond milk. Also, it has a ton of health benefits, is a delicious alternative to coffee or plain tea, and tastes a lot like chai to me! How’s your week been? Did you do anything new or exciting? Let me know in the comments!

Gorgeous herb-infused balm recipes from Hello Natural which you can use for natural healing of headaches, anxiety, etc. I’ve been really into natural apothecary beauty DIY’s lately so I loved this post! Can you imagine using a natural balm to heal your headache instead of aspirin? I love it!

This list of Herbal Remedies for Almost Everything was such a fantastic post to read and it was SO helpful! They even had a doctor from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center share her expertise for alternative medicine so these remedies are backed by an MD which is something that’s important to me when it comes to using herbalism for natural healing.

Alima Pure came out with this gorgeous Day to Night Makeup set that includes 2 pearluster eye shadows, satin matte blush, deep brown eye pencil and the signature espresso colored cosmetic bag from Alima Pure. You can get it directly or at The Detox Market here.

Okay so not exactly herbalism or apothecary related, but isn’t this library beautiful? I spotted it on pinterest earlier this week and I’ve been in love ever since. Who wouldn’t love to have a beautiful library or study like this right off your cobblestone garden? This is the stuff dreams are made of, people! At least mine anyway haha…

Lina Hanson released a brand new Satori perfume oil which is inspired by the landscape and culture of the Far East including beautiful and exotic places like Thailand, China and Japan. Notes of the fragrance include sandalwood, vanilla, yuzu and ginger so I’m sure it DIVINE! I’m just dying to get my hands on this one – doesn’t it sound amazing?

You can get it direct from LH or at The Detox Market.

Lastly, this has nothing to do with Apothecary, but have you seen the new lineup from Dolce and Gabbana? OMG. It’s all so beautiful!

You can find more Apothecary-oriented musings, including posts on herbalism and mysticism, green beauty, and more on my new The Apothecary pinterest board.
