Flamingo First Birthday Bash

We’ve seen a lot of great party themes in our day, but few match the pink- hued perfection of a flamingo bash. When you’re a mom in the wedding industry and life hands you a precious baby girl, you know what you do? Throw her one heck of a gorgeous 1st birthday where guests are encouraged to flamingle and that is exactly what Brooke Images did. See even more captured by Melissa Robinson in the gallery.

I started thinking about my daughters first birthday probably from the day she was born. Being in the wedding industry, I am obsessed with details. I love all the pretty little things that make up a great party. I knew I had to have a beautiful party for my little girl. After hours on Pinterest, I finally decided to have a flamingo themed party. There really was no big reason why I chose a flamingo theme other than I LOVE the summer. I really do not like the cold weather so I wanted to bring a little summer into my daughters winter birthday. I thought of a flamingo theme and then I went flamingo-crazy from there.

Most of the decor were DIY projects. The dessert table backdrop my mom and I made, it was much more time consuming than we expected! I made all the banners, signs & stationary. I recruited family members to help with the desserts and catering. My splurge for the party was the GIANT flamingo floating in the pool. I stumbled upon it one night on the internet and I knew I had to have it.
