When I think about Budapest, in a flash, memories of spectacular architecture come into mind. Inexorably, one of the city’s truest symbols of Budapest’s immortal architectural beauty can be grasped by catching a glimpse of the jewel that is St. Stephen’s Basilica. It is so illustrious I can’t possibly decide if it’s more glorious in the day or night. I am truly thankful that I was able to soak in on the views of this marvelous glamour through the phenomenal rooftop bar of the newly launched Aria Hotel Budapest!

Imagine what a reveal it was for me as I checked in at this revived monumental neoclassical building turned luxury hotel. I learned that the hidden gem of a lounge, Aria Hotel Budapest’s High Note SkyBar, is elevated on the roof which is almost as high as St. Stephen’s Basilica’s sublime and noble dome. I soon discovered that the Aria Hotel Budapest is the only rooftop bar that is able to provide this unique and exclusive access to the breathtaking view of St. Stephen’s Basilica. On my explorations, I learned that going up the striking dome of this treasure of a church is one of the top tourist attractions in the city. But after being at the High Note SkyBar, I can sincerely say that in terms of heart-stopping views of Budapest and the Basilica, I have not seen one more breathtaking and magical. I was so close to the majestic shrine that it almost felt like I was in a beautiful dream in the forefront of a castle in the air. In the distance, I could see the towering arch of the equally exquisite façade of the Hungarian Parliament Building. What made it even more memorable for me was waking up at sunrise to view this picturesque scenery first-hand and witness the most beautiful red orange glow that Budapest is so undeniably known for in the lap of luxury.

Another point to share is that the High Note SkyBar, impeccably dressed and ready for the coming season’s revelers, is the only year-round rooftop garden terrace in Budapest.
