Bringing blogging back.

We all have em.
You know those squinty eyed photos on the beach?
Yeah, that one.
You spend hours getting all pretty only to return to the sand for a few family photos.
And don't think for a second that its all giggles and smiles.
In fact.
It's quite the opposite.
So why do we do this annual ritual?

Why do we force life to freeze that moment in time?
I have the answers friends.
Because life passes so quickly, we can't catch up with it.
As humans, we do everything in our power to stop that moment.
Breathe it in. Savor it.
And even if we have to paint on smiles some days, our hearts our always grateful.
I guess that's why so many of us blog.
We put "us" out there.
We blog happy times. Sad times.
We blog.
But what happens when that blog that was started to file of lives takes over?
What happens when it becomes a job and not a scrapbook?
What happens when your story becomes a commercial of sorts?
No one is to blame.
It just kinda happens.
I'm guessing by now you may have heard about "Younghouselove"
You may know them as John and Sherry.
They are saying goodbye.
My heart felt so many emotions as I read this.
I had the pleasure of meeting them and can I tell you,,,, they inspired my socks off!
They are the real deal.
They started off small and worked so very hard to grow their blog.
I wondered how they could do it and wished I could follow in their path.
yeah..ok.. maybe not as big but as faithful.
It cost y'all.
Time. Precious time.
Unlike monetary things, time plays fair.
We are all gifted the same amount of time in each day.

It's what we do with it that matters.
I respect their decision and actually breathed out a sigh of relief for them.
I'm sure many of you bloggers can relate.
I have been so busy painting that I haven't had the time to paint a wall.
Change a light fixture. Make a cool DIY.
So what's there to blog about I thought.
And it brought me here.
Lets start back at the beginning.
I want to return to what I loved so much.
Sharing our story.

It may not be glamorous nor informative.
It may be down right boring but its "us" the real deal.

I think blogging should go back to the basics.
I miss so many of my friends that just couldn't stand the pressure.
That breaks my heart.
So if you're still here reading this... bless your heart!
If you are one of those that have laid your pen down, I hope this encourages you.
I hope, if your heart is tugged to write....Oh my precious friend write!!!!!
Throw those stats out the window.
Don't count your followers.... count on your friends.
Put your family first and share when your heart is ready.
I have so much to be thankful for today and you are one of them.
So here is to bringing blogging back!
Now take a deep breath and LIVE LIFE!
I love y'all.
