THE OUTDOORS

Ted Baker collections are bold, sharp and somewhat playful, which allow men to experiment and explore new styles and ways to dress even with pieces as serious as suits. With achieving the CBE award form HRH Queen Elizabeth for their contributions and services to the UK fashion industry, Ted baker has grown to become a trendsetter; thus we now look back at fall-winter 2012 to catch a glimpse of what to expect this new season.

This collection was a smart casual collection with burnt colours such as red, orange and a range of browns and earthy tones, something that is different for fall and winter. Leather is used subtly and cleverly with the use of organic materials that endure, which is a feature that is essential, especially in the economic climate of today. The looks come together and present an image of a man that is fashion forward and is often caught-up with outdoor activities – hitchhiking, fishing or heading down to New bond street via Hyde park – The pieces look comfortable and are set aside from some of the more trending styles we see today. One huge trend now is the fusion of materials such as leather and classic materials without that this collection can come across too safe and made for the man who is set in his style. However prints, stripes, earthy tones and looser fits are some things to look out for this season.
