Canadians, You Can Bring Back a Past Essie Nail-Polish Shade
There’s always one colour that a company discontinues, even though you love it and thousands of fellow nailphiles also love it.
It can be disheartening when you’re found something that you consider to be of “Holy Grail” status, only to learn that it’s being discontinued or that it’s such a limited-edition shade, you never managed to get your hands on it to begin with.
Well a few days ago, I received a very interesting press release from the Essie PR team about a rare opportunity that I’m excited to share with you!
Guess what? With the Essie Bring Back campaign, you have the chance to bring back any past Essie nail-polish shade onto Canadian shelves!
In this post, I explain the easy process for how you can nominate any Essie colour of your choice via Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
For your nomination to count, you must submit your vote by August 3, 2015.
From all the nominations, Essie will then choose the top 12 requested colours on August 6. At that time, you can vote for your favourite until August 20 on Facebook. (Each person can only vote once at this time.)
The shade that earns the most votes will hit Canadian shelves in January 2016.
How exciting is this? (I’m definitely going to participate, but I need to think carefully about which colour I’m going to nominate – haven’t decided yet. Which colour would you nominate?)

To nominate shades, visit any of essie Canada’s social platforms and follow the easy instructions below – you only have until August 3rd to nominate!

- Comment below the #essiebringback post on @essiecanada listing your nominated shade name or post an image of your nominated shade with the hashtag #essiebringback followed by the shade name.
Twitter (@essiecanada)
- Tweet @essiecanada using the hashtag #essiebringback followed by your nominated shade name.
Facebook (essie Canada)
- Comment below the #essiebringback facebook post on the brand page listing your nominated shade name.
Following the nomination phase, essie will narrow down all the selections and announce the top 12 most missed shades on August 6th!
To crown the winning shade you will then have until August 20th to visit essie Canada’s facebook page and click to vote for your favourite #essiebringback shade option. Choose wisely – each Facebook user will only get one vote to have their say!
ONE winning shade will be brought back by popular demand for release in January 2016 in Canada.
