OPI Venice Collection Swatches, Bottle Shots & Pictures

Today, I have a quick look at the OPI Venice Collection, which arrived in my mailbox just yesterday! (It’s very picture-heavy!)

If you follow me on social media, you saw that last night, I attended a fun event previewing Fall/Winter 2015 and current products by KISS and Broadway Nails (imPRESS) held at the Trump Hotel in downtown Toronto, and I got to meet Marni Burton, a makeup artist who’s worked on celebrities such as Milla Jovovich, Shania Twain, and Brooke Shields!

When I got home and checked my mail, the OPI Venice Collection was waiting for me. It included even more than just nail polish this time!

After picking up my jaw (hehe…because it had fallen on the ground in a puddle of my own drool), I grabbed my camera and got straight to work, snapping photos of everything.

Not only did OPI’s PR send me the full 15-shade collection (that includes the 3 limited-edition colours), but they sent it in a beautiful, collectible box, along with cute recipe cards (for real dishes you can make), some edible treats, and a masquerade mask! (Heck, even the cardboard box everything was shipped in was customized by OPI. What a great touch! I love it when companies pay such close attention to all the little details.)

In this post, I show you everything, plus, of course, quick swatches of all the colours.

Keep your eyes peeled like a banana later because after I wear some as full manicures, I’ll be reviewing the colours separately and in-depth with more swatches of each.

There are 15 shades in the OPI Venice Collection. Twelve are permanent, and three are limited-edition:

  • A Great Opera-tunity
  • It’s a Piazza Cake
  • Worth a Pretty Penne
  • Tiramisu for Two
  • Amore at the Grand Canal
  • Gimme a Lido Kiss
  • Be There in a Prosecco
  • I Cannoli Wear OPI
  • Gelato on My Mind
  • Purple Palazzo Pants
  • O Suzi Mio
  • My Gondola or Yours?
  • Venice the Party? (Limited-edition)
  • Baroque…But Still Shopping! (Limited-edition)
  • St. Mark’s the Spot (Limited-edition)

OPI Venice Collection Pictures

Inside a larger cardboard box was this customized one.

I love how dramatic yet simple the black-and-white design is – clean, but very eye-catching at the same time.

Here’s a closer look at the corner. (They clearly put a lot of thought into the design.)

When I opened up the box, this is the first thing that I saw.

On the inside of the lid was a nice message.

Then, inside the box, there were black crinkle-cut paper strips that added to the whole presentation.

Inside the box…was another box!

I love these kind of collectible OPI boxes because they keep the polishes safe, and you can store the collection together.

There’s an elastic loop pulled over a little knob to keep the cover closed.

But of course we’re not gonna keep the lid closed! (Are you nuts?)

Hello, polishes! Welcome to the Swatch And Learn family! (Yes, those were actually my first thoughts when I opened up the box and saw this. My brain reverts to childhood when I get really happy.)

The front of the card included looked like this.

Here’s the back of the same card:

Another card included:

The other side of the same card features nail art created using all OPI Venice Collection polishes:

This really made me smile. Below is one side of a business card.

I loved how this featured I’m Not Really a Waitress, one of OPI’s most iconic shades. (Interestingly enough, I don’t have that colour in my huge collection of nail polishes. I’ll have to buy it soon!)

OPI made recipe cards, which I think is a fun, novel idea!

They were tied together with an OPI elastic through the little holes on the top left of each card.

On one side of each recipe card was a photo of the dish plus beautiful nails to complement it.

Here’s a closer look at each of the cards, front and back:

Hehe, I like the lines on each card that say “Best enjoyed while wearing OPI”!

At first, I thought there wasn’t anything else in the OPI box. But as I was putting things back, I noticed that PR had included other fun surprises for me! (The black crinkle-cut paper was hiding more stuff.)

They included this fancy masquerade mask:

Also, they included a container full of Dean & Deluca Tiramisu Caramels!

I’ve never tried anything from Dean & Deluca, but I can’t wait to try these! (Also, I’ve been recently watching a few reruns of the old TV show, Felicity. These tiramisu caramels reminded me of Felicity because she worked at Dean & Deluca!)

Like two peas in a pod, also included were two Ferrero Rocher chocolates! (I’m going to give these to my mom when I see her on the weekend because I know she loves these.)

Disclosure: All the products shown in this blog post was provided by OPI’s PR.

Which are your favourite shades from the OPI Venice Collection? What colour(s) would you like to see reviewed in-depth first? From the recipe cards shown, which dish would you be most inclined to try?
