Guten Tag, y’all!

We are well into March, which means it’s been way too long since I’ve written a post. But it also means that spring is springing ’round these parts, so that’s something to smile about.

LOVING

Time with my family! Although we are still adjusting to life with two kids, for the most part, we’re having a blast (except for that whole “being exhuasted all the time” thing). It means a little extra stress, and things like Valentine’s Day are now more family friendly than romantic, but it’s all a part of our adventure.

READING

Although I prefer to curl up with an actual, physical book, there is just no time for that these days. The only time I get to read is at night after everyone has gone to bed, so that means lots of e-books in the dark (thank God for Project Gutenberg!). I read a few P.G. Wodehouse books (which were surprisingly funny) and am currently finishing up a book of Russian short stories.

WATCHING

Fresh Off the Boat! This is my new jam. Constance Wu kills it as the mom, and I can so relate to her struggles as an immigrant mom. Plus, it’s really fun to go down Memory Lane with all of the 90’s nostalgia references.

THINKING ABOUT

A getaway, sans kids! I know, I just said how much I’m loving family time. But I’m also missing kid-free, romantic time with my hot husband. Even though we manage to squeeze in a date here and there, we usually bring the baby (AKA Tagalong Z) with us. Coming soon…

PASSING THE TIME

Watching the Babycakes play soccer. He’s actually pretty good! Ever since the World Cup, he’s had football fever, so we signed him up for a team in the fall. I’m really enjoying seeing him grow and mature.

WORKING ON

Having a semi-clean house and a semi-current blog.
