So you finally get to that point where your place starts to feels like home. Maybe you’re a year in or a couple years in. You’ve added your personal touch. You’ve made some memories.
Then, you find out it’s time to move.
Imagine that happening over and over again for 16 years.

It takes more guts and glory than most of us will ever know to be a military spouse. To up and move often and sometimes unexpectedly. Many in that situation wouldn’t even bother decorating, not seeing the point if they are going to have to re-do everything in the next place. And, sadly, they never feel at home anywhere.
I think you should decorate anywhere and everywhere you live. It should feel like home. (And yes, I have rented and relocated for the military, living in some places for less than a year…it was still worth decorating.)
Our guest this month is an inspiration to renters and those who relocate often. She is a military spouse, homeschooling mother of three, and she sets up a new home and decorates it in a new city every 1-4 years.
