Is Love Really Timeless?
The Vow, starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams, sees married couple Leo and Paige get caught in a car crash where Paige loses all memory of her relationship with Leo due to suffering from Amnesia.
The entire movie follows Leo who has to take care of a scared Paige, who has absolutely no recollection of who he is or what they had before the crash as well as with the help of certain triggers, try and make her fall in love with him again, the way she did before.
There is a huge problem which continuously hinders him, Paige’s ex Fiance, Jeremy. Just because she has forgotten Leo, does not mean she doesn’t remember anything from before him, in fact, she can’t quite fathom why she ever called off their engagement to one another nor why she has no contact with her family and friends.
This heartbreaking movie is sweet and shows many flashbacks which allows for you to understand how they grew to love each other in the first place and why the relationship means so much to Leo, who you can’t help but love.
I mean come on, he is played by Channing Tatum! Who wouldn’t fall in love?
Anyway, Life is full of trials and tribulations which are made to test us but working through them is what counts and The Vow does nothing but prove that. Paige may not remember but they say love is a stronger power than we can imagine and if it’s meant to be, it will be.
You may be like ‘Oh I have seen this sort of thing a million times’ and I would agree! However, this one is different, it’s a true story. Yeah I know, I wouldn’t have guessed either!
