Teuscher {swiss chocolate shop tour}

My first box of Teuscher chocolates was given to me as a gift at my bridal shower. I started enjoying my champagne truffles right away, only realizing towards the bottom of the box that they were Swiss chocolates and had been gifted to me for that reason. Those truffles slightly eased the worries of the coming international move. It turns out that Teuscher has expanded outside of Switzerland and has a small shop in San Francisco, which happens to be right next door to the antique store where my engagement ring is from. I guess Swiss chocolate and weddings are meant to go together (remember these guys?).

Teuscher has multiple shops in Zurich and they are hard to miss. You will immediately stop and stare at the overly decorated storefront, while trying to figure out exactly what it is that they are selling. There are green vines wrapped around the whole store with bright colors everywhere, making you feel as though you are walking into a fairytale wonderland. Which, if your fairy tales are anything like mine, you are.

Turns out I’m not the only one that loves those champagne truffles. They are the #1 seller at Teuscher.

And boy do they live up to expectations. I have to say, I’m not a huge fan of alcohol mixed with my chocolate, but these are a worthy exception.

Their chocolates come in a variety of boxes, baskets, bars, and paper figurines with a big belly, filled with chocolate. Santa and his jolly belly somehow showed up at my house during the holidays.

In Teuscher, you will take a trip back to childhood as soon as you walk in, but you will get to enjoy chocolate to match your adult tastebuds.

Best of both worlds!

Next time you pass by a Teuscher shop, quickly pop in for a champagne truffle to brighten your day.
