Marc Jacobs Beauty Extravagance (860) Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette ($49.50 for 0.21 oz.) is a new, limited edition warmer, neutral palette with one semi-matte eyeshadow, two matte eyeshadows, and four shimmery eyeshadows. If you’re someone who tends to apply their more metallic eyeshadows with a fingertip or a dampened brush, I expect that you’ll enjoy the palette a lot; two of the shimmer shades were best applied with that method, while the rest were workable in a variety of ways. All of the eyeshadows had good pigmentation and longevity, though a couple of the more sparkly shades had a bit of fallout over time.

At Last

At Last is a light yellow with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had good color coverage in a single layer, which was buildable to full coverage with a second layer. The texture was velvety, smooth, and more substantial with light powderiness but very little fallout during application. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

I Have

I Have is a light-medium taupe-brown with neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. It had excellent pigmentation in a single layer, which applied evenly to bare skin and blended out with ease. The texture felt velvety and smooth to the touch without being powdery. This shade lasted nicely for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

It had rich color coverage with a smooth, moderately dense texture that felt lightly creamy to the touch and slightly thicker. It picked up well with a brush and had good adhesion, but there was slight fallout–to avoid, I’d recommend using it with a lightly dampened brush. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly and had a touch of fallout over time.

The One

The One is a medium gold with moderate, warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The texture felt lightly creamy, denser and thicker, though I didn’t struggle to pick it up with a brush. It had to be pressed and patted onto my lid to get an even lay down of product, so it was a shade that was easier to work with using a fingertip or a lightly dampened brush. It had good color payoff that was buildable to full coverage with a second layer that wore well for eight and a half hours with slight fallout over time.

It was intensely pigmented with a smooth, creamy consistency that was dense but not too thick nor was it difficult to pick up with a brush. The eyeshadow applied well to bare skin with an even lay down of product that adhered well. This shade lasted well for eight and a half hours with a smidgen of fallout over time.

Love is a blackened brown, more matte base with pale gold, copper, and bronze micro-shimmer throughout. It had enough of the finer shimmer that it did translate visibly onto my skin when applied but some of it did get lost in my brush or pulled away from the base color. The texture felt velvety and finely-milled to the touch without being too powdery nor too firmly pressed into the pan. It wore nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.
