Dip, Dunk & Smother Your Way to Success

Haven’t you ever prepared a meal or side dish that tasted so good, but lacked some interest? Sometimes presentation can give your meal a boost. For instance, a cast iron tray carrying a smoking-sizzling fajita will make people’s head spin faster than Linda Blair's head in the Exorcist. A flaming crepe is another example of how to put the finishing flourish on a fantastic meal. By the same token, new ingredients or spices can awaken a dish in need of pizzazz. I for one like to offer gravies, sauces or dipping sauces to make a meal more exciting. Think about all the research and troubles companies go through to make a serving of nuggets more appealing to the consumer. Dipping sauces are just a simple way to achieve that. It can bring a pretzel or a vegetable alive.
The next time you make a delicious batch of hot chicken strips, ribs or chops, try this simple recipe to make Chili Peanut Dip.

Ingredients: ½ cup Bennetts Chili Sauce 3 tbsp. orange juice ½ cup creamy peanut butter – warmed
Preparation: Combine all the ingredients and mix well.
The chili sauce by Bennetts' is slightly chunky. Not very hot but it offers the right amount of "heat" for most people. The dipping sauce is great on burritos, chicken strips, chicken breasts, pork chops etc. It is also great for dipping carrot and celery sticks.
