Friday Five - Washington DC Recap!

Last month my brother and I took a trip to Washington DC …and I'm just now getting around to posting our pictures. It's been so perfect outside I've been totally bailing on my blogging. Who wants to sit with a laptop when the sun is shining?! Netflix doesn't count I guess. Or Facebook. Or Pinterest. Okay okay, I just suck at blogging ;)

My dad took us to the airport (my mom and sister were in Korea) and said "I'm so bummed: half my family's going one way and half is going the other… Hey, it's like Star Trek!"
Seriously love that guy.

My 6'2" baby brother Trailand (who humors me so much. He's the coolest and I spend 90% of my time trying to live up to how awesome he is) went with me and our Nana to a Nat's game! It was rad, I'd never been to a ball game in their stadium before. We also crushed the Phillies like 7-0 so that's obviously tops.

Another cool Trailand fact: he just got his black belt! I'm the proudest. This picture took so many more tries than you would believe but I am a GOOD SISTER so we prevailed. Take that, Washington Monument. This was about 3 minutes before the sky darkened, and we got stranded under a tree in the National Mall because it started pouring down rain. Founding father karma.

My adorable Nana and I were accidental twinsies for church. How cute is this sassy little lady? I miss her already.

In addition to being cute, my Nana is also mega thrifty. She found this brand new bar thing and 4 deck chairs at a garage sale for twenty bucks somewhere. Trailand the great assembled it - doesn't he look just like a precious tiki bartender? So out of place in the woods of Northern Virginia. Adorable, I tell you.
