Dark romance and why to love fashion

Happy, springlike Wednesday morning girls (and boys, if there are any). I know, I know, since the sun is showing up once in a while and temperatures cracked the 15 degree mark, I can’t hold myself from babbling about how glad I am about spring. What shall I say? I’m just really incredibly glad. After last weeks recipe for the most delicious spring cocktail, here we go with the first bare leg outfit of this year. Finally. Yay!

When it comes to fashion, every season has to offer its advantages. Thanks to numerous outfits (e.g. here, here und here!) you already know what a layering addict I am. During the cold half of the year I can live it up totally and at the same time I couldn’t feel warmer. But in spring, my romantic girly girl side reappears. Hello pastels, floral print and airy fabrics. We’re already at todays topic why one has to love fashion. Very simple! Because it’s incredibly versatile! It follows us wherever we go, despite it still manages to surprise us again and again with the creativity one can put in or out of it.

Who doesn’t remember the McDonalds bags and crazy bonbon dresses designed by Jeremy Scott for Moschino? Who wasn’t surprised? I leave it undecided whether positive or negative. Newest example regarding creativity and fashion which caught my eyes lately are fancy evening dresses made of roller blinds for the jubilee of JalouCity. Long since, fashion is much more than the end product of processed fabrics. Fashion steps forward but also backwards (flared pants revival greets you). Fashion can be a form of expression and fashion can even turn into art. Versatile, as said. And that’s why I love it!

Guten, frühlingshaften Mittwochmorgen meine lieben Leserinnen (und Leser, falls denn da welche sind). Ich weiss, ich weiss, seit die Sonne öfter hervorguckt und die Temperaturen erstmals die 15 Grad Marke geknackt haben, laber ich viel zu oft davon, wie sehr ich mich über den Frühling freue. Was soll ich sagen? Ich freue mich halt wirklich unglaublich. Nach dem Rezept für den köstlichsten Frühlingsdrink von vergangener Woche, kommt nun auch endlich das erste Bare-Leg-Outfit dieses Jahres. Juhu.

Wenn’s um die Mode geht, dann hat natürlich jede Saison ihr Vorzüge zu bieten. Dank zahlreicher Outfits (z.B. hier, hier und hier!), wisst ihr ja, dass ich der totale Layering-Fan bin. Während der kalten Jahreshälfte kann ich mich also mit Zwiebellooks richtig austoben und mich gleichzeitig wunderbar warm halten. Im Frühling kommt allerdings meine romantische Girlygirl-Seite zum Vorschein. Hallo Pastelfarben, Blumenprints und luftige Stoffe. Und damit sind wir schon bei der heutigen Headline, warum man die Mode lieben muss. Ganz einfach! Weil sie so unglaublich vielfältig ist! Sie begleitet uns täglich auf Schritt und Tritt und trotzdem schafft sie es, uns immer wieder von Neuem mit der Kreativität, die sich durch sie oder in sie interpretieren lässt, zu überraschen.

Wer kennt sie nicht, die McDonalds-Täschchen und crazy Bonbon-Kleidchen, die Jeremy Scott für Moschino auf dem Laufsteg präsentierte? Wer war nicht überrascht? Positiv oder negativ sei dahingestellt! Neustes Beispiel für den kreativen Umgang von Mode, der mir ins Auge gesprungen ist, sind ausgefallene Abendkleider gefertigt aus Rollos und Jalousien zum Jubiläum von JalouCity. Ja, Mode ist längst viel mehr, als das Endprodukt verarbeiteter Stoffe. Mode macht Schritte vorwärts und zurück (Schlaghosen-Revival lässt grüssen). Mode kann Ausdrucksform sein und Mode kann gar zu Kunst avancieren. Vielseitig eben! Und darum liebe ich sie!
