The Otrot – Again
Beginning of April. I’m sitting in front of my MacBook, my mouth open, my eyes sparkling. Slowely I’m scrolling my way down through the open browser window while my jaw is dropping more and more and my eyes already sparkling like a high-carat diamond. Yet I can’t believe what I’m doing here. What project I’m planing. What brand wants to work with me as the first Swiss blogger.
I’m scrolling down the browser window – the browser window in which I just read the eye-sparkle-realising-email – one, twice, thrice – and in which I’m now in the press area of no less brand than Christian Louboutin. In search of the most perfect shoes. The most perfect shoes with the well known red soles. I’m scrolling down and up, up and down. I don’t make a find. Not because there are no perfect shoes showing up but rather because of the fact that there’s just no one which is not.
While I’m about to start with the hard selection I recall myself Michèle about 5 years ago. The Michèle who was still in education and who’s seemingly unreachable dream was to own some Louboutin’s. Just one pair. One day. Maybe I will be rich one day – then I’m going to be able to afford it. And now I’m sitting here, scrolling down through the virtual paradise while I’m shifting over my sight to my shoe wardrobe and with a smile on my lips eye up my first pair of Loubis that I bought myself already two years ago. No, I’m still no rich girl, but I’m girl who had a dream and worked hard and with passion to reach it. Time flies fast. Girlhood dreams come true. I scroll down the paradise one last time. Ok, up again. My favorites are found.
Today’s outfit is going to mark the end of the photo series that we shot in Paris in partnership with Louboutin. Therefor at these lines I want to thank all of you for every single lovely feedback that we received. As the culmination of the story we are going back to the beginning, what means here we go with one more Otrot shoe. But this time we keep it simple in black. Now my final question: Which model was you personal favorite?
Anfang April. Ich sitze vor dem MacBook – mit offenem Mund und funkelnden Augen. Langsam scrolle ich durch das geöffnete Browserfenster, während mein Mund immer weiter aufklappt und das Funkeln in meinen Augen mit dem eines hochkarätigen Diamanten mithalten könnte. Ich kann noch gar nicht so genau fassen, was ich da gerade mache. Was für ein Projekt ich da plane. Was für ein Brand mit mir, als erste Schweizer Bloggerin, zusammenarbeiten möchte.
Ich scrolle durch das Browserfenster – das Browserfenster in dem ich gerade noch die Augenfunkeln-auslösende-E-Mail gelesen habe – einmal, zweimal, dreimal – und in dem ich mich jetzt im Pressebereich keiner geringeren Marke als Christian Louboutin befinde. Auf der Suche nach den perfekten Schuhen. Den perfekten Schuhen mit der berühmt-berüchtigten roten Sohle. Ich scrolle die Seite auf und ab und werde nicht fündig. Nicht, weil sich mir da keine perfekten Schuhe darbieten würden, sondern vielmehr deshalb, weil es schlichtweg keinen einzigen gibt, der es nicht wäre.
Während ich damit starte, meine absoluten Favoriten herauszupicken erinnere ich mich an Michèle vor 5 Jahren. Die Michèle, die noch in Ausbildung war, deren unerreichbar scheinender Traum es immer war, ein paar Louboutins zu besitzen. Nur ein einziges Paar. Irgendwann einmal. Vielleicht werde ich mal reich – dann gönn ich mir das. Und jetzt sitze ich hier und scrolle durch das virtuelle Paradis, während ich meinen Blick hinüber zu meinem Schuhschrank schweife und mit einem Lächeln meine erstes Paar Loubis begutachte, die ich mir bereits vor zwei Jahren gekauft habe. Nein, ich bin noch immer kein reiches Mädchen, aber eine Mädchen, das einen Traum hatte und hart dafür gearbeitet hat, ihn zu erreichen. Die Zeit vergeht so schnell. Mädchenträume werden Wirklichkeit. Ich scrolle ein letztes mal durch das Paradis. Ok, noch einmal hoch. Meine Favoriten sind gefunden.
Mit dem heutigen Outfit sind wir bereits am Ende der Fotostrecke in Zusammenarbeit mit Louboutin angekommen. Und damit danke ich euch allen nochmals vielmals für all die tollen Feedbacks, die ihr mir auf den letzten Post und via Instagram hinterlassen habt. Als krönenden Abschluss gibt’s heute die schlichte, schwarze Version, des Otrtot aus der ersten Fotoserie. Und meine abschliessende Frage: Welches Modell ist denn jetzt euer Liebling?
