Salt Air Margarita

Just in time for next week’s Cinco de Mayo celebrations, Eden of “Sugar and Charm is here with a refreshing margarita recipe we can’t wait to try!

“I first tried this unique margarita at a restaurant in Las Vegas, and I was instantly hooked! I asked what was in it, but the only thing that the staff members would tell me was that they used an emulsifier called Sucro. I went home and did some of my own research, and found a recipe published in a Food & Wine cocktail book (and then online!). I was so excited to find out that the recipe is extremely easy! These drinks are different from a standard margarita because—just like the name suggeststhey’re airy and decadent, topped with a light salty foam. They’re also perfect for entertaining, as you won’t have to worry about melting ice or quickly-dissolving foam. For a party, make a large batch and serve on a tray as an arrival cocktail. Cheers!”
