Grilled Spanish Iberico Pork Chop with Basil-Garlic Rub | Roasted Butternut Squash Buckwheat Groat Salad | Berries Sweet Rolls
It is was 7th day of CNY today yesterday (as I am writing this, it has already passed midnight!!!), and it is also known as 人日 ie. everyone's birthday! Therefore, it warranted a BIG FEAST!!
The truth is, I didn't know that it was 人日 because I simply don't keep track of festivities that aren't marked as public holidays! However, I am not one who will pass on a great reason to pig out! Hahaha! I already had in mind to cooked Grilled Spanish Iberico Pork Chop with Basil-Garlic Rub and Roasted Butternut Squash Buckwheat Groat Salad for dinner. After I saw the whatsapp my sis sent me, I then realized it was everyone's birthday, and thus gave me a very good excuse to make dessert! Ho! Ho!
Since time was pressing, I opted for the Berries Sweet Rolls that is very quick to prepare. And we could eat the leftover for breakfast! Kill two birds with one stone! YAY!!
Though I am not a vegetarian, I refrain from eating meat on weekdays for health reason, hence I only cooked one pork chop that was meant for Hub. As this was my first attempt at pork chop, it's only my due diligence to do a taste-test. One bite, led to another, and another... I think I had 4 bite-size pieces in the end! It was delish! And I don't even like pork (except for roasted pork belly & roasted suckling pig)!!!
