Build a Flower Letter Sounds Sort
My 4 year old has become obsessed with letter sounds lately. Not a day goes by when she doesn’t come up to me at some point and say, “Mom, let’s play the letters.” And I must admit that I’m loving every minute of it!
And if she sees me creating something on the computer, she will often ask me if I’m making something for her. I’ve been busy with Learn to Read, but I decided it was time for her to have a little alphabet fun with these cute, letter sound flowers.
You can easily make these sound sorts self-checking by writing the word on the back of each pedal. You can even underline the featured phonics skill, like I did when I underlined the s at the beginning.
You can set it up where kids only work one letter sound flower
or sort between two sounds / flowers.
This is just one of the phonics skills covered in my Build a Flower Phonics Pack. In it are flower sorts for beginning sounds, ending sounds, short vowel words, bossy r words, long vowel words and MORE!
