Artist & Photographer, Julie Ansiau, & Her Lovely Home

This week I stumbled onto a home that so perfectly embodied what I've been dreaming up for our new home, that I just had to share here. There's a lot of inspiration out there online, quite frankly it's all a bit overwhelming, but I was genuinely inspired by this space. It felt truly unique to me - just totally fresh! A little bit vintage, a little bit Scandinavian, a little bit Japanese, and throw in a few Pop Culture images and bold graphic patterns and you've got a pretty perfect house in my eyes. Julie Ansiau is an artist and photographer living in Paris, France and this is her lovely home. (All images from her home tour on Miluccia.) This photo from her kitchen is one of the most inspiring I've seen! I've been dreaming of some floating shelves in my one-day-studio to hold all of my collectibles. I always thought I would go with white shelves on white walls, but I do love the look of these in mint green. It's no surprise that someone with such an eye for interior design is also a talented artist and photographer! You can find Julie's felt works called "Popquilts" here and her photography here. I am absolutely IN LOVE with her works made of felt. Here are some of my favs from Julie's photography portfolio. The first four images (minus the girl in the pink cone hat) were taken in the home of artist Lili Scratchy. I think I'm equally in love with both of these whimsical homes. Pretty fantastic, right? Be sure to check out Julie's lovely blog as well.
