A Teaching Workshop and Retreat at The Hammock Resort in Palm Coast, Florida

It's 3:30AM as I'm typing this. After a stimulating retreat (an oxymoron, I know) I feel creatively reinvigorated and I want to keep working while the fire's still lit. With making, you have to chase the elusive muse while it's there! I just created a detailed outline for my upcoming local weight loss bootcamp, the rough draft for a raw vegan book for sale locally (eBook on that to come as well, it will be longer and more in-depth), and outlines for the Green Lotus Studios teachers. It's time to slow down and look back and the beautiful photos from my short trip to wind down!

We spent most our time at the dining room table with out computers typing lesson plans, class descriptions, and learning new programs. What I explored of this massive resort was absolutely beautiful. The whole area is small and charming and I'll certainly be back to explore gardens and museums.

The kitchen was hilariously over-packed for a 2.5 day stay, filled with herbs, spices, and healthy(ish) things aplenty to snack on. At least two bottles of much-needed wine was consumed. Jennifer made sourdough bread and biscuits from scratch for breakfast and we all had to huddle around it with camera and phones to photograph its majesty! You don't get homemade sourdough biscuits and local orange marmalade and honey every day!

On the final day when work was declared "complete" after a brainstorming session my mom and I snuck off to the heated indoor pool and spa for a short, relaxing soak. The next day I left anxious to take off with my new career as a holistic/creative educator, body care provider and writer.

If anyone has any favorites in Palm Coast, or anywhere to recommend, in Florida or Georgia PLEASE let me know it the comments. I'm always itching for adventure. Extra points if it's kitschy, of course.
