Our Monochromatic and Modern Living Room Reveal!

I have been working on recreating our home for the past few months, and today I get to reveal our monochromatic and modern living room. I wanted to live in a space that felt calm, family friendly, but with a touch of modern elegance. It was important to me that the space felt like it belonged with our family and really represented who we are. It’s still a work in progress, but boy, has it ever gone through some transitions…

At first it was very minimalistic with a touch of pink when it was featured in Heart Home Magazine…

Then it went more neutral with a touch of feminine simplicity when it was featured in Ariadne at Home…

Then I went lavender, somewhat inadvertently on my quest for blush, but I loved it. My husband, not so much… So, I went dark with a black mat painted wall, a new furniture arrangement, and heavier velvet curtains. I’m still on the hunt for the perfect rug (I’ve tried about 10 different ones in here and owe my husband big time for his help hauling them all in and out, but for now, we are enjoying this space immensely and I thought it would be fun to share it with you…
