a little Sunshine

I am honored Katie! Preppy Empty Nester
I have received the Sunshine award and Katie has asked me to answer some (embarrassing) questions.
Let's roll!

(Katie is looking at .. the menu?) She has amazing taste and whatever she orders.. I want too!
Hey Katie ;)
Here are the QUESTIONS:
You ladies are all creative and talented. What was the biggest blooper that you made while decorating?

There have been SEVERAL bloopers! The most recent was in regards to a Roman Shade purchase. It had been a long day and I was rushing trying to take advantage of a sale that was ending. I ordered ONE when I needed TWO and my husband pointed out days later that I measured for an inside rather than outside mount. Naturally because this was a custom order I couldn't change it so I was going to pay for it PLUS buy new ones! Today I have one roman shade sitting in the closet.. and every time I look at it I am reminded why you should always think things out carefully before making decisions on decorating, place your order carefully, and get help when in doubt!!

Which child is your favorite?
KIDDING!!!!!! Just wanted to make sure you were paying attention.
Each was a favorite at one time or another:) Both are adults now and looking back I will say that gender seemed to play a role in their behavior. At times, each child seemed to have peaks and valleys that were challenging. When it's all said and done ~ the majority of our kids eventually grow up and become happy and well adjusted individuals. There's a light at the end of the tunnel!!

Favorite movie/song?

Movie:I don't have one ;) Sometimes I like to watch old black and white movies.. like the old Clint Eastwood or John Wayne movies. I also like the classics like Gone With The Wind and sometimes I enjoy action packed movies like Hunger Games and last weekend we rented Now You See it. These aren't necessarily classics but I enjoyed them. Music.. I enjoy classical music at night before bed. My receptionists at the office have got me listening to country music (I have grown to like it!) and sometimes I'll put on some easy jazz during the day. On the weekends I'll put on mood music.. salsa, romantic, whatever fits to get everyone in the mood and I do like some of the current tunes. They are perfect for exercising or if I'm in the mood to dance around the house;)

If you wrote a memoir, what would the title be?
Laugh More .. Worry Less (the sequel to Wag More Bark Less!)

Life requires resilience and a good sense of humor.

What has been one of your most embarrassing moments?

Well.. there are many. For example I cannot throw a ball even if my life depended on it. Even my English Springers think I'm a bit strange in this department. They see I have it and start to run..
They look back and realize it's in front of me ~ NOT THEM!
If you've been following me for a while you might remember my experience on the "Finding Nemo Ride" at Disneyland! I am mildly claustrophobic and after waiting two hours to go on this stupid ride with my niece and nephew .. it broke down. The submarine was small, no air circulating, and crowded. I was breaking out in a sweat and my nephew was telling everyone around us that I was afraid of Nemo. I have no intentions of ever going on that ride again!

What is your biggest regret?
I wish I'd put myself out there more and not worried so much about what people think. Fear of failure is something we all have to get over. If you don't succeed.. try again!
I can relate to this little girl .. and I love her determination!

If you were awarded an all expenses paid vacation for two weeks where would you go?

I'd love to stay in a villa in Tuscany.. or the South of France (I'm picking two because I want to go to both equally as bad!!)

How many homes have you lived in? Which one was your favorite?

I've lived in 4 homes since I got married and our current home is my favorite. We live near in the foothills so there's lots of room to roam and we are close enough to the city to pop over when we feel like it.

If you could sit next to any famous celebrity on a 5-hour flight, who would it be?
This is a tough one because there are so many interesting people that I'd like to meet. I'll just say ............

Bradley Cooper;);) .. because he is such a good conversationalist ;) HeeHee

What would your friends say are your 3 best qualities?
I'm not sure what they would say are my best qualities..
I would LIKE them to say I am kind, generally positive, and that I'm there when they need me.
Life is serious business and I think having a good sense of humor or being able to see things in a positive light is really important.

Why do you blog?
I blog to reach out and connect with others and have enjoyed meeting women around the world and discovering how much we all have in common.

I'll be back in a few days with something sweet! Have a nice weekend!!
