Monday Motivation

This week, I’m feeling the need to create. Perhaps it’s the fact that I’m done with Christmas shopping and have been elbow-deep in golden wrapping paper cuttings, or perhaps it was the weekend baking (I know, shocking. I baked something other than a hot mess. More on that later though).

Polish kolaches. So very, very good.

I woke up this morning feeling like I wanted to shrug off my usual uniform of sweaters and work jeans and put on a party dress. Wear red lipstick. Don some gay apparel, just like the song demands (between ordering me to deck the halls and guests refusing to leave until they get figgy pudding – whatever the hell that is – Christmas songs can be somewhat bossy, don’t you think?).

I guess what I’m saying is I’m feeling the need for some inspiration. With only ten days until Christmas, it will be nice to get lost in the glow for a few days (and eat about a dozen varieties of cookie). So if you’ve got some holiday photos to share, I’d love to see ‘em. I’ll have a fun Christmas project to share with you before week’s end too. Happy Monday, folks!
