Thankful November - Day 1

Welcome is the sound of rustling leaves and the orange glow of the fireplace. Additionally, a month of thanks. I find it difficult to pass up celebrating a clump of days on the calendar reserved for gratitude, appreciation, and the slowed pace of recognizing the beauty and blessing before me.

That said, hello day one.
Tomorrow officially kicks off the twelfth year of wedded bliss, so it must be said... I thank God for my husband. I am thankful that not only is he a great friend and partner, he always has my back. The last year of our marriage is almost unrecognizable when compared to the decade prior. For that, "thankful" just doesn't cut it.
I admire him.
I respect him.
As he flies over the tiny continents of the world, I want him to know I am thankful:

• he is our provider
• is beyond intelligent
• his profession is something to be admired
• his humor is spontaneous and belly laughable
• for the ways his eyes squint and smile widens as he laughs
• for the sweetness of his heart
• the dinners he prepares for his family
• the maintenance he performs on his vehicle
• our conversations and inside jokes
• for his love of dachshunds
