Raise your hand if you’re addicted to chips and hummus.
(raises hand and starts waving it uncontrollably)
If you’re a basic vegan like myself, chips and dips can quickly become a large part of your daily meals if you eat out often or at a friends house and no one has any clue what to feed you. Which is silly, because vegans OBVIOUSLY eat lots of delicious things, but our omnivores friends, families and “normal” restaurants always seem to default to the almighty chips and hummus.
And if I’m gonna eat hummus, I’d rather not have run-of-the-mill white flour chips to go with it. Which is why I’ve been totally obsessing over Primizie sprouted vegan crispbreads because they’re packed with sprouted grains, tons of fiber and protein.
I recently tried a trio of their vegan variations, though they have lots of other unique flavors, I’d recommended you try if you’re not totally dairy-free. Their Simply Salted, Chile & Lime, Italian Herb, Ancient Grains, Green Harvest and Beet are all vegan and totally delicious. The thick cut chips are super hearty and more filling than any other chips I’ve tried. I love that their gluten-free and it’s super hard not to eat an entire bag in one sitting. The Ancient Grains are the simplest in flavor and literally go great with anything. Any flavor of hummus, in any soup, on any salad. I had it on a taco salad quite a few days in a row and I couldn’t get enough of it! The Green Harvest has a yummy touch of kale, broccoli and spinach to it, and I felt healthier just looking at the color of them. I really liked it paired with a super garlicky hummus but I added it to a minestrone soup, which was also delish.
And the beets! Usually I’m not a HUGE fan of them, but their beet variation might have been my fave. It had a sweet undertone, that was ideal with a red pepper and chipotle hummus, and didn’t have that dirt flavor I usually associate with beets.
