NEW! BOLD METALS COLLECTION BY REAL TECHNIQUES - PICS
At last! The new luxe line of make up brushes from the make up artist and sibling duo, Pixiwoo are heeeere in the UK! I'm a big fan of the
original line of brushes which were launched back in 2011 (I'm such a bad beauty blogger, I never blogged about them) and you'll be hard pressed to find a negative review of them online,
The Bold Metals collection features seven brushes and has been received warmly, their sleek metallic handles a hallmark of the premium quality they represent. Speaking of handles, these are slimmer than those on the original brushes, and have a weighty feel and cut to them so that they won't roll about when laid on a surface - handy!
You'll find that the Bold Metal brushes are pricier than the original line with prices ranging from £10-£25.
The brushes are colour coded - gold, silver and rose gold which correspond to the key steps of make up application (face, eyes and finishing), helping you create a flawless finish. They also have their brush no's and 'RT' embossed on either side. Pictured below is the 100 Arched Power brush (£25), 200 Oval Shadow brush (£15) and the 301 Flat Contour brush (£22).
Each brush is hand cut with the highest quality synthetic bristles, which are shed-resistant. I'm really looking forward to trying these out. My most used brushes are MAC...and Real Techniques, so these will fit right at home,
As I previously mentioned, there are seven brushes in total:
- 100 Arched Powder Brush (gold) - has a domed cut for flawless powder application.
- 101 Triangle Foundation Brush (gold) - had a flat edge for covering large areas of the face and an angled edge for around the mouth and nose.
- 200 Oval Shadow Brush (silver) - dense brush for all lid application and blending
- 201 Pointed Crease Bush (silver) - perfect for a smoky eye finish
- 202 Angled Liner Brush (silver) - for pressing product into the lash line
- 300 Tapered Blush Brush (rose gold) - for highlighting and sculpting cheeks
- 301 Flat Contour Brush (rose gold) - very dense to create targeted shadows and highlight whilst playing up favourite features.
I actually feel like watching some Pixiwoo vids on You Tube again, something I haven't done for over four years! I miss those carefree days of watching their tutorials for hours at a time. Anyway, so yeah, their new brush line is readily available now, so go have a nosey next time you're in Boots.
