50 Shades of Grey- Trailer

Whoa!…and Yes, please!!!

I am actually excited to see this movie when it finally hits theaters Valentine’s Day of 2015! One thing that you guys may not know about me is that I love a true adult romantic drama, not necessarily the mushy, gushy, kind but the passionate, fantastical kind that you can get lost in for a moment…a la Pretty Woman (which is still one of my favorite movies of all times). I actually can’t even remember the last time a true adult romantic drama was in theaters, so I hope that 50 Shades doesn’t disappoint.

I actually haven’t read any of the novels even though so many women seem to have gotten their lives through it! I am now trying to decide if I should read the books first or see the movie. Sometimes I hate seeing a movie after reading the book because a lot of times the movies never seem to live up to the book. The great thing about seeing the movie first is that your mind has nothing to compare it to so it isn’t contaminated by any preconceived notions, but on the opposite side, you miss out on creating your own images and revelations of these characters and are forced to see them through the eyes of the director (usually through a watered down version of the book). The 50 Shades book series seems to have so much hype and such a strong following that it is now really peaking my interest, especially after seeing this trailer so I don’t know if I can wait till February. I think that I may be making a stop to my local Barnes & Nobles very soon.
