I love subway tile as much as the next girl, but the industrial chic surface has had it's moment and is now ubiquitous wherever minimalists dwell. For something fresh (and far more complex), take a look at these intricate tile mosaics by Allison Eden Studios.

The creative force behind Allison Eden is Allison Goldstein, who designs for both residential and commercial projects out of her New York studio. She can be found there on any given day, surrounded by 20 fellow artists and countless sheets of colored glass, which the artists painstakingly cut by hand.
