4 ways to get the most out of your workout

You guys, I have to come clean with you. I haven’t worked out in the past 3 days!!! I decided to take the week off between my last round of Piyo and the upcoming Bikini Body Boot Camp group that starts on the 27th, and I am regretting that decision!

I have been bloated and feeling like a blob these past few days, and am so ready to hop back into regular workouts. Isn’t it funny how quickly our bodies react to things. It was such an immediate response to not working out, and I was not expecting it. I guess it just goes to show that our bodies really do love regular exercise and clean eating and they revolt when we fall off.

So today I want to share a few tricks I’ve learned to really make the most of your workouts – because honestly, ain’t nobody got time for that!! lol, sorry, I just couldn’t help myself.

First and foremost, you need to find your soul mate system. For me that’s been Piyo, but I know home workouts aren’t for everybody. So find a class at a local gym, or a quick circuit training guide on Pinterest, or even sign up with a personal trainer – whatever you do, just do it! That first step of committing is key!

Second, STICK WITH IT! Like I said, when I fell off I felt awful! Listen to your body and honor it’s needs by sticking with that soul mate system. If you love it, you’ll make time for it.

Third, What are you doing to grow yourself? I’m sure you’ve all heard me blast my latest personal development book from the rooftops, and theres a reason for that! Self improvement and self growth should NEVER stop happening! Be it in a spiritual sense, higher education, or self improvement. We should never stop trying to be just a little bit better than we were the day before. Be a little kinder, love a little harder and share your story a little better.

Fourth, Share your goals with your loved ones. Building up a support system around you and sharing your goals with those that you spend your time and energy with is so important! If they know, they can help keep you on track. They can ask you ‘did you workout today’ or ‘are you sure you want that giant chocolate bar, I thought you had a goal?’. Do you see how valuable that is, to have others help you out?! That’s why I choose to coach and host monthly challenge groups – because I need that accountability!

If need a little bit of accountability too shoot me an email so we can get you signed up for the next group. [email protected]

Love your guts!!
