Holiday Nail Polishes from Nails Inc

When it came to deciding which nail polishes to take away on holiday with me, there were two from my collection that immediately stood out to me and surprisingly for me, they're both by Nails Inc.

I say surprisingly because my collection is overrun with Models Own and Collection Work The Colour polishes but these two beauties stood out to me the most; Porchester Place and Brook Street, both of which I received in this amazing Micro Pedi kit from Boots that has been a godsend in getting my feet ready for the pool this summer.

Porchester Place is a fabulously tropical orange shade that will take you from rainy England right to the beaches of the Maldives. Its bright, its bold but it has this beautiful creaminess to it that makes it really flattering, even against my pale skin. I love this because it means that its a colour I can wear at the beginning of my holiday and I know that it is only going to get more beautiful as the days go on and I get more tanned!

Brook Street is the most gorgeous creamy coral pink that more or less coordinates with my whole summer wardrobe. I think thats really important when you're going on holiday, to choose nail polish colours that match the majority of the outfits that you're taking with you. It looks dreadful when someone is wearing a colour that majorly clashes with their outfit but then again, I know the hassle of having to remove and apply another colour only to have to switch it back the next day. The struggle is real, isn't it girls?!

My advice would be to take a two to three different polishes away with you that compliment the clothes that you're taking away with you. If, like me, you're going to a hot summer destination then two brights and a neutral seem to work very well. I will be taking these two nail polishes away with me as well as a white as I really want to see if I can pull off the whole white nail trend this summer as it is bound to look great with a tan.

Look for formulas that are long lasting and chip resistant too so that you can prolong the life of your polish and take a fast drying top coat with you because I'm sure you'd rather be out sipping sangria than waiting for your nails to dry in your room! My suggestion would be the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat. I've been using it since March and I am so impressed with not only how quick it makes my nails dry but also how shiny it makes them and how much it prolongs their wear before they chip. I use it every time I paint my nails now and I wouldn't be without it.

Failing that, opt for a french mani and pedi and if you're a little shaky with the ol' nail polish brush or if you're wanting to stick to the same look for the whole time you're away, then getting gels is a great option.

I used to always get my nails done with gel polish before my holidays but as I tend to go away quite often, I'd find that I'd have gel on my nails an awful lot, especially my toes as it takes longer to grow out and lift on them, and I wasn't getting round to using up many of the beautiful nail polish colours that I have at home. For all of my holidays since last July, I've just been painting my nails myself and I've actually been really enjoying taking nail polish away with me and sitting on the balcony painting my nails before going for supper and drinks.

If you're going to be doing your nails by yourself while you're away, rather than getting a gel manicure or acrylic extensions before you go, then you'll be needing to take a mini mani kit away with you. If you'd like to see my suggestions on what to pack in your travel nail kit then let me know in the comments!
