WhatLauraWore: Valentines Day Outfit Inspiration
When it comes to dressing for Valentine's Day, I think its important to look feminine, classy and elegant. Its a day of love not lust and when Mr WLL takes me out, like a old romantic, I love to spend time getting ready and putting my outfit together.
The dress that I'm wearing here is from a relatively new plus size brand called Monroe Knows and this is the first piece that I have tried from them.
This piece is the Chloe and it is available in sizes 16 to 28. The fit is very true to size, if a little generous. I have it in black, you can also buy this beauty in purple.
If you're looking for an elegant LBD then look no further than the Chloe. This midi dress is a classic shape that fits and flatters the plus size frame really well because it is cut incredibly well. It looks understated, glamorous and sophisticated, I love it!
The Chloe features an empire line with a wrap over detail at the bust which I find to be incredibly flattering. It also ensures that there's enough room in the bust for most women.
The dress gently falls from under the bust and skims curves beautifully without clinging to any areas. It feels incredibly comfortable to wear and soft to the touch.
The half length sleeves are very flattering and particularly handy for those who don't like to show off their arms, or simply for warmth and the weather doesn't seem to be hotting up in the UK yet!
This dress would make the perfect outfit for a Valentine's Day celebration, anniversary or dinner date. I absolutely love it! I've paired it with some classic black peep toe heels and a black clutch in unique shape to keep things classic with but with a twist.
