Keeping Up with the Cambridges – July 12
Wow, what a week! The past seven days have provided plenty of smiles and surprises for royal watchers. It was like a royal Christmas in July! Lets see what happened…
This week…
July 7 – How does Kate keep so fit? Apparently, with a personal trainer! Pictures from 2012 surfaced of Kate working with a personal trainer in the front garden of Kensington Palace. It has long been speculated that Kate has a fitness expert helping her stay healthy. They appeared to be doing some yoga or high-intensity fitness moves. Kate wore a sweatshirt by Freddy with cropped leggings and trainers.
July 8 – Lets go Murray! William and Kate popped to SW19 to cheer Andy Murray to victory. The Cambridges were front and center in the Royal Box for Murray’s match to Canadian Pospisil. Kate wore a red dress by LK Bennett and Jimmy Choo pumps. Catch up on the event here.

July 8 – Does a shoe by any other name still look as sweet? After a few days of debate, Kate’s Closet can confirm that Kate’s ivory shoes (as seen at Charlotte’s christening) are by Russell and Bromley, however they are the discontinued “Pointy” style rather than the 5th Ave. The difference? Very slight – the heel incline and height is different. The “Pointy” was last seen in 2012 and has been replaced by the extremely similar 5th Ave.
July 9 – Be still our hearts! Mario Testino’s much-anticipated christening photos were released by Kensington Palace. In a historical move, the photos were released first on Instagram and then on Twitter. Four photos feature a classic group shot of the Royal and Middleton families, a Cambridge family portrait, a mother-daughter picture and a father-son picture. The intimate pictures were overall a hit. Read more about them here.
July 10 – Anyone for some tea and sandwiches? An exciting new picture emerged from Wimbledon 2014. @FanVanMaxima on Twitter noticed a picture of a popular Dutch television presenter posing in front of an unsuspecting Wills and Kate. As is tradition at Wimbledon, the Cambridges were enjoying a spot of tea and cucumber sandwiches in between sets. It is a rare glimpse of them enjoying an informal meal.
