With the big game coming up in two weeks, I am part of Appetizer Week this week to provide you with a lot of great appetizer ideas. One of my favorite appetizers for a party is a cheese ball. They always go over well and they are easy to make. To this point I had only made dessert cheese balls. I even posted one last week. This time I decided to make a savory cheese ball. One of my favorite appetizers is buffalo chicken dip or ranch dip. I also love buffalo wings for the big game. I decided to combine the flavors of buffalo and ranch into a cheese ball. This Buffalo Ranch Cheese Ball has great flavor and we all really loved it. The cheese ball has a little bit of spice, which is balanced out by the ranch seasoning. This cheese ball would be perfect for the big game or for any party.
The Buffalo Ranch Cheese Ball was really good served with crackers (we used ranch flavored ones) or you can even serve it with vegetables. This is the perfect appetizer for the big game or for any party. I hope that you all enjoy this delicious cheese ball.

Ingredients
- 1 package (8 ounces ) cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning, dry
- 2 tablespoons buffalo sauce
- 1/2 cups chopped almonds, crushed into pieces
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning, and buffalo sauce until combined. Then form into a ball.
- Crush the chopped almonds into smaller pieces. Place the almond pieces on a plate and roll the ball in the almonds. Make sure to press the almonds into the cheese ball until it is fully covered. Then place the ball on a large piece of plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
It may be easier to freeze the ball for about 1 1/2 hours in the plastic wrap before putting the almonds on. This will allow the cheese ball to form its shape and makes it easier to work with. Then refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving.
Serve with crackers or vegetables.
